The point, before the scroll.

When something is long, a small bubble shows up in the corner. Tap it and you get the point in about 20 seconds. Short pages stay quiet.

Works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Android, iPhone and Mac.

How it works

It shows up only when it's worth it.

  1. 01

    It notices

It checks the page quietly in your browser. If the read is longer than about 350 words, the bubble shows the reading time and the time you'd save.

  2. 02

    One tap

A one-line gist, three facts with the names and numbers, and why it matters. Press Esc and it's gone.

  3. 03

    It reads the room

On Reddit, X and Hacker News it covers the replies too: where people agree, and where they push back.

  4. 04

    Anything else

Select a long passage and press Alt T, or right-click a link and pick “TLDR this link” before you open it.

What people told us

We read the complaints first. Then we built around them.

Five things kept coming up in reviews, forums and the news. Each one changed how Anywhere TLDR works.

  1. 01

    Summaries that make things up

In January 2025 Apple paused its news notification summaries after they put false headlines on people's lock screens. On Hacker News, one view sums it up: a summary you have to double-check isn't worth much.

    What we do

Every point links to the sentence it came from. If a point can't be matched to the page, we drop it instead of showing it.

  2. 02

    Buttons you didn't ask for

When Edge added a new sidebar button, a lot of people went looking for how to turn it off. On Hacker News someone put it plainly: they don't want every page offering to summarize itself.

    What we do

The bubble only shows on long reads, about 350 words and up. Short pages stay quiet. Tap "Not on this site" to hide it there, or switch it off everywhere in settings.

  3. 03

    "Unlimited" that runs out

Reviews of summary tools like Sider describe credits that disappear, paywalls after a handful of uses, and subscriptions that are hard to cancel.

    Trustpilot reviews

    What we do

Free, no account, nothing to cancel. On-device summaries have no cap. The free cloud summarizer shares a daily budget; when it runs out, you get a simpler summary built from the page's own sentences until the next day.

  4. 04

    Extensions that collect your data

An Incogni study in January 2026 looked at 442 AI extensions for Chrome. 52% of them collect user data.

    Help Net Security

    What we do

Length checks happen on your device. Text leaves only when you tap the bubble and the on-device model isn't available, and it goes only to our summarizer. No analytics. Exactly what's sent.

  5. 05

The comments are the real story

On Reddit, X and Hacker News the post is often the least interesting part. The replies are where people correct it, argue, and add what they know. There are just too many to read.

    What we do

It reads the replies too, and tells you where people agree and where they push back.

Read this part

It's a shortcut, not the source.

Summaries miss things. Small models get details wrong. That's why every point shows where it came from, and why the page is one tap away. If something matters, read the page.

Benchmark

A plain summary vs. Anywhere TLDR, on the same pages.

Same model, same pages. One side gets a single "summarize this" prompt. The other is how Anywhere TLDR works.

The bubble works on every site. Summaries run on Chrome's built-in model when it's there.

Before the Web Store listing: unzip, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, then Load unpacked.

Firefox

Desktop and Firefox for Android. Uses the free summarizer since Firefox has no built-in model.

iPhone & iPad

A native app with a Dynamic Island summary is coming to the App Store. Today: drag the bookmarklet to your bookmarks, or add /app to your Home Screen.

Mac, in the notch

A pill under the notch lights up on long reads in Safari, Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc. Press ⌥T on any page.

Windows

A small pill above the taskbar lights up on long reads in Edge and Chrome. In any other app, select text and press Ctrl+Alt+T.

Privacy

Your reading stays yours.

On-device first

Turn on Chrome's built-in model once and pages are summarized on your computer. Nothing is sent.

Otherwise, only when you ask

The page text goes to our free summarizer when you tap the bubble. We keep the summary for a while so repeats are instant, never the text.
